Florence, Italy

Florence (Firenze) is the capital of Tuscany and the province of Florence. Florence is famous of its historical sites. It was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1982.

This was my second time visiting
Florence and would like to come back again to learn more. There are so many wonders discover in Florence; you need at least one day only to see the most famous attractions. You can buy the 24 hours hop on and hop off double-decker bus ticket which take you to its 15 stops of Florence's top visitor attractions. Of course, it is easy to walk through the major attractions in Florence. If you like to visit galleries, you can go to Accademia Gallery and Uffizi Gallery. The Accademia Gallery is home to Florence's most famous attraction - Michelangelo's statue of David. To avoid the long line at the main entrance ticket office, you can take the tours. It costs you EUR €65 per person for the Accademia Gallery and Uffizi Gallery tour which lasts for 2 hours and 45 minutes.

Piazza della Signoria is at the heart of the historic center and is a free open-air sculpture exhibit. The Michelangelo's statue of David at Piazza della Signoria is a copy of the original. Ponte Vecchio, an old bridge, was built in 1345, and it became a top place selling silver jewelry. It is also a good place for window shopping. The Florence Cathedral complex, located in Piazza del Duomo, as part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site covering the historic centre of Florence is a major attraction to tourists. Piazzale Michelangelo is a large square atop a hill with panoramic views of Florence. You should go there if you would like to take photo of the city. You can follow the steps from Piazza Poggi to the top of the hill or take bus 12 or 13 from city center.

Last but not least, don’t forget to find a restaurant to enjoy local foods and the tasty house wine for an unforgettable ending.
