Venice was on top of our must-go list for a long time. Finally, we visited Venice by a cruise. We stayed there for 2 days and really enjoyed it. Rising from the waters of the Laguna Veneta, Venice is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Due to Venice's geographic location, water transportation plays an important role.
The best way to explore Venice is by foot. Venice is a pedestrian-only city; a city without cars makes it an exceptionally enjoyable experience. If you stay longer and want to get around, it is better to take the water bus (vaporetti). With the water bus you can easily get on and off throughout the Grand Canal and other destinations, and it is very economic. Just over two miles in length, the Grand Canal with beautiful buildings along it reflects the city's unique heritage. Unless you are in a hurry, never try the water taxi because it is so expensive especially taking it from hotels.
There are so many places you can visit in the city. You should do your homework before going to save your precious time, so you can discover the most of the city. One drawback of this beautiful city is the restroom. It is not easy to find one, and it is very expensive - €1.5 per visit.
