I am so excited to let you know that the new album of 831 – “831 - The Last Day of Summer” will be released on May 30, 2012. Mark Huang (aka Fish) is the drummer of the rock band.
While studying at Cheng Gong High School, the five members of 831 formed the band in 2003. Not only did all of them successfully graduate from university, but also two of them received master degrees. It is unusual for a rock band in Taiwan to have all of its members obtain higher education. I am also surprised to learn that none of them studied music. They all encountered opposition from their parents and friends because many musicians can barely make ends meet.
They debuted their first album back in 2008 as an independent rock band, and now they are releasing their 2nd album. They love music and would like to share their passion with the people who listen to their music. I do believe you will agree with me that it is ideal if our work and interest are the same. I would like to congratulate them for the very successful new album pre-order sales which should be sold-out by the time you see this blog post. I know that their passion will ignite and continue to reside within all of us. Let’s wish them an amazing album release.
